But for 2026, we've decided to give the route a fresh twist. Fear not, as all the best bits have stayed, but we've managed to sprinkle in even more breathtaking roads and stunning scenery. TBC 2026

We've heard the call for more adventure and decided to elevate our Scotland route, S.H.I.T., to new heights. After three successful years, we've revisited the route, retaining its best features and adding in even more stunning landscapes and thrilling roads. While the NC500 remains a highlight, we've made some bespoke modifications to create a truly unique driving experience.

Starting in Glasgow, we'll journey through the picturesque Trossachs National Park, tracing the winding lochs all the way up to Inverness. From there, we'll head west along the coast, taking the very same roads used in "The Grand Tour" to reach the northernmost point of Scotland at John o'Groats. Then, we'll descend down the stunning east coast, passing through the magnificent Cairngorms before making our way to Edinburgh.

Friday - Glasgow

The first day is all about getting to Glasgow and settling in. We'll be hosting a meet and greet at the hotel, providing a chance to mingle with fellow drivers over delicious food and refreshing drinks. It's the perfect opportunity to kick back, relax and get to know each other before we hit the road the next day.

Saturday - Glasgow - Inverness

Today marks the start of our adventure! Buckle up as we make our way to Inverness, passing through the breathtaking Trossachs National Park via the winding Dukes Pass. As we travel along the stunning lochs, we'll be passing Glencoe where the famous James Bond Skyfall Road awaits or you could pick up a bottle of whiskey as a souvenir. Don't miss the chance to snap some unforgettable photos on the banks of Loch Ness before we call it a day in the vibrant city of Inverness, where we'll be staying overnight.

Sunday - Inverness - Thurso

Get ready for an epic driving day! We'll be embarking on the longest stretch of our trip, but trust us, it'll be worth it. We'll be taking on the famous west coast of the highlands, where the roads are just as exhilarating as those in the Alps and the views are equally breathtaking. And if you need any proof, just check out the Grand Tours P.E.N.I.S. route – the road Richard takes the lads on is one of the same ones we'll be tackling!

Monday - Thurso - Edinburgh

As we make our way towards Edinburgh along the East Coast, it's common to hear that the West side of Scotland steals the show in terms of scenery and driving routes. However, we believe that the hidden gem of the Cairngorms National Park, particularly the Old Military Road, is an absolute must-see. In fact, we dare say it's one of the best driving roads in the UK. With its breathtaking views and thrilling twists and turns, the Old Military Road has everything you need for an unforgettable driving experience.

Tuesday Edinburgh - Home

While this marks the day you head back home, we still have a thrilling morning route planned, taking us on the back roads to Moffat. Interestingly, we stumbled upon this hidden gem by pure chance, when our 2020 group refused to let the adventure come to an end and added a unique section to the route. And trust us, it's nothing short of fantastic - the perfect high note to conclude the trip on.
