The North Wales Drive Out is a fan-favorite event, and for good reason. Starting with a quick meet-up at Cheshire Oaks, it's the perfect opportunity to mingle with fellow petrolheads and grab a coffee before embarking on the day's adventure.
As we leave Cheshire Oaks, we immediately hit a legendary road known as The Evo Triangle. This stretch of tarmac is an absolute blast to drive, with plenty of twists and turns to put both car and driver to the test. And while there are average-speed cameras in place, they don't detract from the thrill of the road.
Our journey takes us through the picturesque Welsh village of Betws-y-Coed, before arriving at the highlight of the day - the Llanberis Pass. As we make our way up this winding road, the scenery gradually becomes more and more breathtaking. The road takes us alongside Lake Llynnau Mymbyr, before ascending through a series of tight bends that offer plenty of opportunities for stunning photos.
After reaching the top of the pass, we make our way towards Ffestiniog and hit what we believe to be the best road of the day - the Road to Bala. This stretch of tarmac is an absolute blast, with flowing bends that allow you to pick up speed as you climb. The views are simply spectacular, and it's hard not to feel a sense of exhilaration as you push your car to its limits.
Our final destination is the Horse Shoe Pass, where we stop at the Ponderosa Cafe to refuel and catch our breath. It's a great opportunity to chat with fellow drivers, stretch our legs, and enjoy a well-deserved bite to eat before heading back home. All in all, it's a day that's sure to satisfy any driving enthusiast.
